This is a tragedy and could have been prevented if his employee had provided the correct financial information.

Instead of relying solely on the accountant to provide the information. SME Business owners should have access to a proper ERP system. A good ERP system does not need to be expensive and can easily show the current date “profit and loss”.

I will suggest assessing the service provider properly and looking out for some firm that has 3^rd-grade skills and also tries to upsell you all kinds of services.
